Our Founder

Sheldon M. Gallner founded The Law Offices of Gallner and Pattermann, PC in 1974 and ran it for 40 years. During his time with us, Shelley showed his passion by getting to know each and every client and providing the best care he could. His legacy lives on through the attorneys who worked with him and run our firm.

Penny

Reception &
Legal Assistant
Penny was raised in rural Southwest Iowa. Penny devoted 36 years to working in County Government. Subsequently, Penny joined our Gallner & Pattermann team in January of 2025 and she is the smiling face sitting at our front desk. A proud mother of two adult sons and “grandma” to four cherished grandpups. She loves spending time outdoors, hiking and enjoying nature alongside her husband. Committed to giving back, she also enjoys volunteering in her community.

Brenda

Bookkeeper &
Office Manager
Brenda joined Gallner Pattermann as our office manager/bookkeeper in July of 2016, having been in the legal field in various capacities since 1993 and the medical field before that as a medical secretary, medical transcriptionist, medical biller and certified medical assistant. Brenda enjoys getting to know clients and assisting them throughout the course of their lawsuit. Brenda has been recognized by the Workers’ Injury Law & Advocacy Group as a member of the Top Injured Workers’ Advocate Legal Staff. Brenda grew up in Council Bluffs and enjoys exploring the United States pulling her travel trailer, spending time with her family, bicycling, researching genealogy and doing home and auto repair.

Ivette

Spanish Speaking
Legal Assistant
Ivette came to Gallner & Pattermann in March of 2016 and as our receptionist/legal assistant, having previously been in the insurance and financial industry. Ivette is originally from Puerto Rico and translates for all of our Spanish-speaking clients. She enjoys photography, painting, and music as well as spending time with her Australian Shepherds, Savannah & Hope.

Amy

Senior Paralegal
Amy attended the University of Nebraska at Omaha as well as Southern Nevada College where she obtained her Associates Degree in Paralegal Studies. She joined Gallner Pattermann in September of 2014 and works on files slated for mediation and/or trial. Amy has over 20 years of experience in both the insurance and injured worker sides of the law; however, she is dedicated to assisting clients regain their lives after suffering a work injury. Amy has been recognized by the Workers’ Injury Law & Advocacy Group as a member of the Top Injured Workers’ Advocate Legal Staff. She enjoys spending time with her family and pets, traveling, reading and yoga.

Pam

Pamela aka "Pam" attended Metropolitan Community College where she graduated with her Associate of Science in Paralegal Studies. She then attended Bellevue University where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice. Prior to joining Gallner & Pattermann in September 2021, she was a Certified Paralegal for Laura Pattermann for 9 years. Pam has over 20 years of experience in the legal field working in the areas of collection, family law, personal injury and workers compensation. When not working, Pam enjoys spending time with her puppy, Tally, reading and sitting on the beach with a margarita in hand.

Traci

Traci attended Iowa Western Community College where she graduated with her Associate of Science in Paralegal Studies. Traci then attended College of Saint Mary in Omaha, Nebraska where she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Paralegal Studies. She joined Gallner and Pattermann in 2021 and works on files slated for mediation and/or trial in the position of workers’ compensation litigation paralegal. Traci has over 25 years of experience in both the insurance and injured worker sides of the law. Traci enjoys spending time with her children, reading, and watching sporting events.

Kim

Kim is a graduate of Creighton University and has been at Gallner & Pattermann since September 2023. Prior to then, she worked over 20 years in the corporate law department at the Omaha World-Herald. Kim is a member of the National Association of Legal Assistants and the Nebraska Paralegal Association, where she was past president in 2013. In her spare time, Kim is a musician in the Omaha metro area and also enjoys spending time in Spirit Lake, Iowa.

Robert aka "Bob" came to Gallner & Pattermann with several years experience as a personal injury paralegal. However, prior to becoming a paralegal, Bob was a paramedic and instructor in the Phoenix metro area. While in Phoenix, he also worked in the ER as a paramedic on the trauma team. When he is not at work, Bob enjoys golf, football, and hockey. He also likes cars and racing.

Tim

Personal Injury
Legal Assistant
Tim was born and raised in Upper Michigan and joined the Air Force in 1998. He studied at Bellevue University where he earned a BS in Adult Education and MS in International Security and Intelligence Studies. After he retired from the military in 2020, Tim decided to pursue a career in the legal field. He is currently working towards his Paralegal Certificate at Metropolitan Community College. Tim currently lives in Pottawattamie County, IA with his wife and two stepdaughters.
